19th Century Antique Oak Carver Chair

An attractive 19th century antique oak carver chair. The antique armchair has a bar backrest with a slatted central splat. The antique carver chair has a solid rectangular shaped oak seat and is raised on square cut legs with straight stretcher supports. The antique armchair has shaped open arms, raised on turned front supports. Finished with a fresh coat of natural wax.

In good antique condition throughout with some signs of age. There is surface wear in places including age-related marks, scratches, stains, shrinkage and fading to the seat (pictured), further fading and marks to the backrest and arms (pictured). The legs also have age-related marks and scratches. The antique oak carver chair remains structurally solid and sound, with good tight joints. Finished with a fresh coat of natural wax. Overall, a good example of its kind.
