18th Century Antique Mahogany Gateleg Table

An attractive mid 18th century antique mahogany gateleg table. The antique gateleg table has a rectangular shaped top with a drop leaf to either side. The drop leaves are supported by two hinged legs, creating a larger surface top when extended. The antique gateleg table is raised on four carved cabriole legs with ball and claw feet. A particularly good quality table with a rich colour and patina throughout.

In good antique condition throughout with some signs of age. There is surface wear in places including age-related marks, scratches and stains to the top and drop leaves (pictured). There has been an honest repair to one of the legs (pictured) also minor splits to the table edge (pictured), however this doesn’t affect the overall integrity of the piece. There is evidence of historic woodworm to the gatelegs, however this is now long gone and has been fully treated as a precaution. Overall, a lovely example.
