In good antique condition throughout with some signs of age. There is surface wear in places including age-related marks, scratches, fading and a shrinkage split to the seat (pictured), further marks and scratches to the base. There is also a patch repair to the backrest (pictured) and evidence of historic woodworm. The historic woodworm is now long gone and has been fully treated as a precaution. The antique oak wainscot chair remains structurally solid and sound. Overall, a good example of a 17th century armchair.
