Antique 18th Century Welsh Oak Pot Board Dresser

An 18th century Welsh oak pot board dresser. It has moulded and carved cornice and a boarded rack back with two shelves having old ironsmith hooks. The base consists of an oak plank top, two fitted drawers to the frieze each with old ironsmith drawer pulls. Under this is a pot board base, with carved upright supports to either side and a shaped central upright.

In well used antique condition throughout with various signs of age and wear. General surface wear throughout with evidence of extensive historic wood worm – this is long gone and has been fully treated as a precaution. Some of the old iron hooks are missing and some have quite sharp points. Structurally solid and sound. We recommend fixing the top section to a wall for extra safety.
