18th Century Welsh Oak Pot Board Dresser

A large 18th century welsh oak pot board dresser. The top has moulded cornice above an open rack back composed of three fitted shelves, each with several small iron hooks. This sits above a dresser base having an arrangement of three drawers over two small drawers to either side. Each drawer has brass handles and backplates, with the three drawers having escutcheons, though there is no key. It is raised on turned front legs and straight rear legs. Also, the under-tier pot board shelf serves as a support.

In good antique condition throughout with some signs of age. There are shrinkage gaps to surface top and sides (pictured). Some evidence of old historic woodworm, though this is long gone and has been fully treated as a precaution. There are losses to the back as well as the under-tier pot board shelf (pictured). Also, some minor losses to shelving on dresser top and the cornice (pictured).
