A large and impressive 18th century carved oak coffer. The antique carved oak coffer has a sunken four panel lid with decorative carved detail to the two central panels. The hinged lid opens to reveal a large and spacious interior with an open candle box to the right hand side. The coffer has a four panel front with each panel having attractive carved decoration. Raised on stile feet.

In good antique condition throughout with some signs of age. There is surface wear in places including age-related marks, scratches, and staining to the top, front, and sides (pictured). The antique carved oak coffer remains structurally solid and sound. There is evidence of old historic woodworm in places, however, this is long gone and has been fully treated as a precaution. The coffer retains its original hinges. Overall, a good example of a large 18th century carved oak coffer.
