An attractive 18th century antique oak clerks bureau. The antique oak clerks bureau has a fall front to the top which opens to reveal a fitted interior with three small drawers. Below the fall front is a full width single fitted drawer, with two decorative brass teardrop handles. The antique oak clerks bureau is raised on four square and turned legs, with straight stretcher supports. An ideal desk for small workspaces. The bureau has been altered and adapted throughout time with the fall front originally being hinged at the top like a bible box.

In good antique condition throughout with some signs of age. There is surface wear in places including age-related marks and scratches to the fall front (pictured), and further wear to the base stretcher supports and feet (pictured). There is evidence of some historic woodworm, however this is now long gone and has been fully treated as a precaution. The 18th century antique oak clerks bureau remains structurally solid and sound, with the drawers running well.
