A gorgeous antique 17th century carved oak chest. The oak chest has a hinged lid that opens to reveal a spacious interior. The antique oak mule chest has a detailed carved front, with a long fitted drawer below, with two brass drop handles. Raised on a stand with four block feet. The carved oak chest has beautiful carving throughout.

In good antique condition throughout with some signs of age. There is surface wear in places including age-related marks to the top, front and stand. There is evidence of historic woodworm to the inside, however, this is now long gone and has been treated as a precaution. There is splitting and loss to the top (pictured), however the carved oak chest remains structurally intact. Raised on a stand which gives great variation of height to the piece. A great example of an antique 17th century carved oak chest.
